Pacioli style guide creates a flexible system that can easily be reused whilst following the guidelines. It gives everyone the power to design consistently beautiful and easy to use features.
The aim of Pacioli was to bring usability improvements and consistency to Clear Books. We wanted to improve the legibility of the system, support basic accessibility, limit icons and make pages responsive all whilst using the minimum amount of styling and code as possible.
I was responsible for the UX. I would watch out for common mistakes users made in user testing, hypothesise a solution, research, design, build, test and iterate until a desired solution was reached. I created wireframes, wrote the rules for our in house product team to follow and continually educated them on how to use the style guide.
